Oliebollen / from Munchcast 70 - or how to make fun of a Dutch tradition...
My contribution to Munchcast episode 70 with Traditional New-years Food; Oliebollen.
Oliebollen by NetPierre
Originally, oliebollen (oil balls) are a Dutch New-years snack. They are made of dough, raisins, and various optional ingredients like ginger and apple.
Oliebollen are best eaten warm, preferably with some powder-sugar.
( audio clip recorded on december 20,2009 from the TWiT Network / thanks Leo for making fun of our tradition ;) and for the shoutout at the end. (...and the excellent pronunciation of my name)
...listen to the audio fragment ( only 1 minute and 37 seconds )...
Happy New Year in Advance!
